This Privacy Policy explains what information TastyBend collects when you visit tastybend.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what is needed to run the site and improve our nutrition content. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information. The first is information you give us directly, such as the details you include when you reach out through our contact form. The second is information collected automatically as you browse, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site. This automatic data is standard for almost any website and helps us understand what readers find useful.
We pass your IP address to an outside service (country.is) when you do something that sends data in — send the contact form or run a search — so we can tell which country the request comes from. It returns only the country; we keep that country code for a day, under a fingerprint of the address rather than the address itself. From outside the countries the site serves, those actions are declined: the form says so, and a search just returns you to the homepage. This check never happens when you simply read a page or an article.
How we use your information
We use the information to operate and improve the site, to respond to messages you send us, and to measure which articles are read so we can plan future content. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
TastyBend uses cookies for advertising. It runs no analytics — no Google Analytics, no measurement tag — so the cookies on the site come from the ads, not from tracking how you read. For a full explanation of those cookies and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
Advertising
We display advertising, including ads served by Google and its partners. These providers may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, and how to opt out of personalized advertising, through Google’s own ad settings.
Third-party services
Some functions rely on trusted third parties: our advertising partners, and the host that keeps the server logs and database. There is no analytics provider and no mail service. Each provider processes data only as needed to perform its service and under its own privacy terms. This page will be updated before any analytics tool or mail service is added.
Your choices and rights
The newsletter has been discontinued, and the email addresses collected for it were deleted from the site on October 12, 2026. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, use our contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s privacy
TastyBend is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it from time to time. If you have questions about how we handle your data, reach us through our contact form.
